Natalie's voice!

I spoke briefly with Natalie today. The first thing she told me to do was shave my beard - she told me nicely, though, by saying, "Shave, please". I asked her how she was feeling and tried to limit the time I spoke with her on the phone as to keep her energy levels up. She told me she felt ok and I let her know I would be coming to see her soon. I let her off the phone by saying I love you and goodbye and she repeated the phrase to me as well. It was remarkable being able to hear her voice. From what I've been told she sounded much stronger today. Her voice was quiet but it was not a whisper. So far her progress at Sunnyview has been wonderful!

Benefit Run Pictures

Thanks to Jess Weise for creating a page where you all can view some pictures from the benefit run! I'll post the link on the right side of the page. You can also view the pictures by clicking here

Thank you all for your patience with the lack of daily posts. I will be able to post updates more frequently now that I am back on Long Island.

Thankyou.

To all of you who worked so hard to make the benefit run possible and to all the participants, I cannot tell you how touching it is for our family to see all the wonderful friends and strangers participating in Nat's benefit run. Your generosity is overwhelming but more importantly is the love, care, and concern Natalie and her entire family (including Al, Mike , and Aunty Ann)have recieved and continue to recieve.
thanks
Tina

Hello Foulger family!
What wonderful news! With each update, I am blown away at Nat's determination and drive to get well. I see she still has quite a sense of humor!

Just wanted you to know that I will be traveling this weekend to visit my family in Schenectady; just down the road from where you are. I would be happy to bring anything you need from here to you in Schenectady to save you a trip. I will be leaving on Saturday. Please have someone give me a call if I could be of help to you in any way.

God bless you all and please know how much we are praying for and thinking of you all!

Sincerely,
Pat Gibbons

Just so you all know the family are doing well and coping with Nat's daily round of therapies, which are hard to watch sometimes as she is cleary in a lot of pain. Please don't expect too much of her, some days she is wiped out and it is only 10 weeks, she needs at least a year before we can start to evaluate what kind of future she can expect. Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement and prayers.

Just wanted you all to know that at National Honor Society Induction last night, Mrs. Denny referred to Natalie as someone who exemplified the traits required for membership-scholarship, service, leadership and character. Please know that you (plural!) have so many people pulling for you and keeping you in their thoughts and prayers everyday. Your whole family is such an example of courage, fortitude, strength and love. God bless and keep up the hard work!
